The day before the race brought the first bib collections, a buzzing expo, the youngest runners' debut at the Kids Race, and the arrival of UTMB's founders.

With just hours to go until the 80K start gun fires and racing gets underway, Ordino enjoyed its first big day of trail atmosphere this Thursday.

From early morning, the expo and bib collection area filled with runners from 50 nationalities, while the finish line took shape in the heart of the village, at the Plaça de l'Església.

The kids were the first to cross the finish line. The Kids Race brought together more than 140 young runners who ran under the arch to loud applause, joined by families who filled Ordino on a morning of fun, excitement and unforgettable memories. Smiles, oversized bibs on tiny bodies and an improvised grandstand of parents with their phones held high: the best possible way to open a mountain weekend.

The day also brought a very special visit: Michel and Catherine Poletti, founders of UTMB, are already in Ordino and joined the youngest members of our trail community at the Kids Race, celebrating with them the future of our sport.

The elites have arrived

In the afternoon, the organisation welcomed the elite runners and held the 80K briefing, covering the course, the mandatory gear and the weather forecast. Among the names to watch: Julen Calvo and Allison Baca.
